The switch is good, but doesn't register on the switch test and a game
won't start.

Switch and diode ohm out and there is power to the switch.

Any suggestions?

Is this just a broken wire somewhere, or could it be something else.

Thx.

Check your switch matrix in your manaul, check other switches on the same
row or column, this sounds like a broken wire or poor connection at another
switch. LTG :)

Yes...I checked the matrix and the switches I could easily test:
outhole, middle & left 3 bank, right drain...were all non-responsive.
So row J205-9 is dead.

My thought was to measure pin J205-9 and see if I get a voltage there
when I close one of that row. That should tell me if I've got a broken
wire.

If I do get a pulse at J205-9, would that mean that the LM339 is
probably bad or is it usually some other component in the switch matrix
circuit?

Thx,

Robert

I ohm'd out the circuit and found a broken wire at the Mystery hole
switch.
