I am looking for a CPU cooler for an old computer with Gigabyte 6VXC7-4X MB and a P3 933. The computer is used almost exclusively for web browsing and office apps.
The most important criterion for selecting the cooler (and the reason I'm replacing the old one) is noise.
So, can anyone recommend a silent CPU cooler - preferably from Coolermaster, Thermaltake, Vantec or Zalman as these are the brands that I can most easily get?
Sounds like you already know the type of cooler you're looking for. Don't know how many people will actually be using that same kind of setup to give you advice. The quantity of new devices are geared at the new hardware. Try those manufacturers' sites and/or your local PC store.

99% of Athlon XP coolers fit Socket 370 as well. So you have a wide selection to choose from, look for one with a fan that produces less than 30db of noise.
