Hello! I've been looking around a decent laptop that run games relatively well. I've seen a few laptops that caught my eye but I haven't been able to settle on something.

1. What is your budget?

800-900 USD

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?

Size doesn't really matter. 15-17"

3. What screen resolution do you want?

It doesn't matter that much.

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?

I don't really know how to answer this.

5. How much battery life do you need?

It doesn't matter much, 2-3 hours if possible.

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?

Yes. At least medium with mainly Starcraft 2, League of Legends, World of Warcraft, and Team Fortress 2.

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo / Video editing, watching movies, Etc.)

Photo and Video editting.

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?

320 - 500 GB

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.

http://www.newegg.com
http://www.tigerdirect.com

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?

2 - 3 Years

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?

DVD ROM

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.

I'd prefer to stay away from Acer. I've had some bad experiences with a friend's Acer laptop, but it might have been an isolated incident. I've heard some positive reviews but I'm still a little skeptical.

13. What country do you live in?

U.S.

14. Please tell us any additional information if needed.

I've been looking at these two laptops in particular, but I'm not sure which one is better.

More about : settling laptop

Its a great laptop, and I'll consider getting it.

However, if I were to set my budget at just 800 dollars what options would I have? Unfortunately if I get the Sager, I would need to add Windows 7 to it so it would put me close to 900 dollars. I'm aware I put 900 in my budget but I'd like to keep it close to the 800 dollar range. I'm sorry for the misleading information.

Hi there,

Both of these laptops got good reviews. The MSI seems to have more users excited about the game playing power. The MSI is also a bit lighter than the Toshiba, which could be an important factor if you plan on transporting the laptop back and forth. Both seem to get decent battery life, especially for gaming laptops.

I hope this helps.

Cheers,

OK,then go with either the Toshiba model you linked or this Acer one

Which has a faster CPU.
