If I'm not mistaken you can take standard WMS siderails and just cut them
down to work. The cut will be under something anyway, so it doesn't have
to be perfect...

That is correct. I did this once and it was fine. Just file down
sharp edges to avoid unwanted scratches on yourself or cab. Easy to
do!
