1_What is your budget? I guess around $1500.
But, this is loose. I would prefer to pay less, but may be willing to slightly more.

2_What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?

13"- 15" screen, i prefer small screen

3_What screen resolution do you want?
I will use the laptop all day, so the best screen resolution would be great.

Portable, but I need high performance.

5_How much battery life do you need?
It would be nice to have more than 3 hours of battery life. and it would be nice to be able to watch a

movie or something.

6_Do you want to play games with your laptop? mainly no games

7_What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo / Video editing, watching movies, Etc.)
I use it for my research with Matlab and Image processing and solving mathematical models in C++ , so I need high performance.

  2. Thnx Maziar,

but sager has no support in my country ,
what u think regarding Envy 14" and it down clock problem for grahic ?

you think Sony performance with E "I5 and ATI 1 G" is more powerful , and generally SOny is more performance than HP ?

thnx again for your kind feedback
  3. Well, actually Sager has international warranty so you can send it back.

it sound good inspite it has I5 ,

and attached also lookig for Studio 14 Dell with I7 (NEW 2010 Intel® Core™ i7-740QM Quad Core Processor, 1.73GHz (2.93GHz Turbo Mode, 6M Cache) and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5450 1GB )

thnx agian for your kind support, i am sorry for this a lot of discussion but u knwo it is like my Baby :)
  9. I wouldn't recommend it,because its build quality is no where near the Lenovo model i posted.
  10. if Matlab programming will be used only on Vostro I5 + Nividia u think i will fit , the mobility feature is important really
  11. Hi Maziar any feedback
  12. Spec wise, the Vostro is good, however like i mentioned its build quality isn't as good as the Lenovo one
