[Solved] Windows 7 won\'t boot AND NEITHER WILL BOS! HELP!

I have an HP Pavillion dv9700 with a Phoenx Bios. I had to replace the hard drive. The Bios cannot be called up, and it won't boot. I only get the dreaded "missing bootmgr" message. I've tried different hard drives, with no luck.

Can anyone HELP?

Do you have the CD's that came with the PC when you bought it? If so, there should be a recovery CD that you should be in the CD ROM Drive when you go to boot the computer up.

I have already tried your suggestion, with no luck.

I can't get the BIOS to open so I can reset the boot order. I've also got a couple of usb drives which work in other computers with success. That doesn't work with this laptop.

Any other suggestions????
