Hello, i'm getting ready to order all the parts from newegg, i just wanted to make sure that everything i'm about to order is compliant wiht eachother or if there are any other problems/suggestions with the hardware i ordered.

Cpu: Amd Athlon 3800+ venice core - retail ($372)

Mobo: Asus A8V deluxe ($115)

HDD: Western Digital Caviar SE WD1600JD 160GB 7200 RPM Serial ATA150 ($82)

RAM: Corsair ValueSelect 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 400 (PC 3200) Dual Channel Kit System ($80)

DVD/CD: NEC ND-3520A BK ($46)

Case: ASPIRE X-Dreamer II ATXB4KLW-BK Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case 420W Power Supply ($55)

These are all the parts i'm ordering for my comp, i already own a monitor and video card. Are there any parts that are conflicting with eachother, or any parts that i'm missing or gonna need in order to build the pc. Also, i already have the mouse, speakers, keyboard, etc.

Don't see any actual conflicts, but that motherboard is using VIA chipset..
Altough that VIA KT-800 set supports dual core with latest bios (upgrade in the future ?), it still is VIA..
It's also quite old chipset, lacks features, but usually it also means "tested and tried = stable", but im not sure if it helps in this case.. :smile:
Maybe somebody knows better, i only know that I NEVER EVER BUY VIA AGAIN.. :lol:

btw. What videocard you have ?

i have the radeon x800xl 256 vid card
I assume that it's a AGP card since you are about to buy MB with AGP slot.

So that rules out all pci-e motherboards.

Me recommends this -> <A HREF="http://www.msi.com.tw/program/products/mainboard/mbd/pro_mbd_detail.php?UID=607" target="_new"> K8N Neo2 Platinum</A>
