Forced shutdown

Hello,
When I try to switch off my pc, I get the blue screen with message waiting for outlook to close, force shutdown or cancel even though outlook is closed down. I've emptied as much as I can to stop the scanning process but it hasn't helped.What can I do?

Is outlook running? Try closing the program first, then shut down (in task manager check processes to see if it is running). Windows is hung up on that program, for some reason it is unresponsive to Windows asking it to shutdown. Make sure outlook and windows are both completely updated. If you still have problems, i would uninstall outlook and see if that helps. If it does try reinstalling it again, maybe their was an error in the initial install. Lastly if reinstalling does not work, lets talk more and we will figure it out.
