It's Microsoft's fault!

I was burning a cd with Adaptec's DirectCD software and all of sudden it shut down and I got this message: "Adaptec DirectCD caused an invalid page fault in module MFC42.dll at....". I did the usual, I restarted the computer, that didn't work, then I uninstalled/reinstalled the program and I still got the same message. Also, when I try to open Backup and System Information I get the same exact message. What do I do? Thanks in advance.

  4. I know about Nero, but that's not what I'm asking. Is there anything I can do so I can get System Information and Backup to work again?
