Windows taskbar problems

As you can see this is my taskbar. Whenever I open an application, such as Chrome, it puts another chrome program on the taskbar. It doesn't bother me much with the other programs, but Chrome has really started to annoy me. On my other computer it doesn't do this. Any thoughts or suggestions are helpful!

Open Chrome.

Right-click the Chrome icon on the far left (the one not highlighted) and choose
"Unpin this program from taskbar"

Now right-click the other one and choose "Pin this program to taskbar"
