I just purchased a Samsung 2443BW monitor, and I can not get any higher screen resolution that 1920x1080. I am using Windows 7 64bit, and my graphics card is an Nvidea 8800 gts 512. I have tried just about everything that I can think of . Loaded the samsung driver, updated the video card software. No use.

Are you using the VGA or DVI connector?

Even if it was something you were doing wrong, perhaps embarrassing, It would be awesome if people provided fully explained details of how they resolved the issue

Simple saying "I finally got it to work" is not helping others with similar problems finding this post via google
