I've had problems with the right flipper on my Indiana Jones now and then.
I went to fix it tonight and with the playfield up, it worked perfectly.
Then I put the playfield down and it stopped working. On closer inspection
I can see that the plastic opto interrupter "flap" that the flipper button
pushes on can hit the rear of the ball launch plunger if the playfield is
not pushed all the way to the left. Eventually the playfield can move to
the right a few milimeters and the problem can reoccur. It looks like a
design issue (not enough clearance). Is this just happening on my machine
or have other people faced this problem and addrressed it?

Thanks,
Danny

Had the same problem, and loosened the screws to the bracket for auto
shooter moved over a bit and okay, I had a friend take out the shooter
plunger and grind the back of the plunger down a bit, his hit bad stopping
flipper from working or getting weak flips, he also put a screw in the slot
next to the two tabs that go into the lock down bar holder, works okay a
little of a pain when you need to lift playfield have to take screw out, or
you could move the whole flipper opto interupter up a 1/4 inch so the throw
is past the end of plunger.

Two possibilities:

- Game is not level, so cabinet twists, and playfield is prone to slide to
the right. Level the game.
- Auto launch coil is installed backward- this can make the coil lugs come
in contact with parts they shouldn't.

May check for these possibilities.
