Monitor for ~$300, Looking for help

This is the start of my research of gaming monitors.

Games to be played on monitor:

Counter Strike 1.6
Counter Strike: GO
Dota 2
Diablo 3
Guild Wars 2
League of Legends
Battlefield 3
Borderlands 2

Budget:

~$300

System Specs:

i5-3570K
GTX 670 (4GB)
8GB DDR3 1600

Those are just what I would start with. However, with a 4gb 670 I'm surprised you're not looking at a 2560x1440 monitor.
