Hp laptop wont boot up

Hello, my computer won't boot. It's a HP Pavillion dv5 and it only shows HP loading screen and then all went to black. It won't boot on CD-ROM and won't show HP recovery manager and whenever I tried to short test it, it will stuck on 29% and then stop.
Please help.

If I am seeing the right DV5 that should be under warranty. Contact HP, sounds like you have some issues if you can't boot off anything.
If you have spare parts around, try new RAM, then a new drive. About the only thing you can try. Try booting without the battery see if that helps.
If you want to save your data, talk to them and see if you can keep the drive in there now and just have them work on the laptop. Although the issue may BE the drive.
