I know this probably belongs somewhere in Other, Butt...
What do you think about sites or tech writers in those sites disclosing monitary(other)interests in companies that they review products from and advise others to purchase?
May be a pipe dream with the whole "Who would monitor this? Big Bro?" Is there a real conflict of interest that needs to be looked at closer?

AMD has a big announcement comming up, if they were cheaper I'd buy them now. And that's about my suspicions that the value will go up based on an announcement, not what I think of their product.

It really is all about honesty. All you have to do is look at what happened to Nvidia because they cheated on some benchmarks.
For sights like THG, the cost is in believablity, and ultimately page hits.
