Funhouse - Volume is non-responsive ...

I have a customer who has a funhouse which is playing sound at full blast,
and the volume up/down buttons while they 'DO' change the volume bars on the
display, does not change the volume to the speakers. Where to look first?

I'd guess it's a System 11 Funhouse & they need to use the
potentiometer on the left side of the body to change the volume.

The sound board is at fault. The IC for volume adjustment
has likely shorted to full on, or something is grounding
that section in the head.

All bets ar off if it has the earlier Rev 11 sound board,
though. That one adjusts mechanically.

You did not state if this was a new or pre-existing problem.

in the standard adjustements A1 28: Minimum volume control
or minimum volume override

if the volume level does not work anyway from + - then the ic X9503
is dead
this an digital potentiometer to this board ,,,,,,,,,
check the harness also ,,,,,,
the IC X9503 is very hard to find ,,,,,,,,,

That's how mine is... potentiometer changes volume, buttons on coin door
only adjust display.

Does it have wide sys 11 style siderails and a sys 11 sound board?

Look for a volume pot on the inside of the game on the left side; he might
have a sample game with sys 11 sound.

Google is your friend [Fred is not wrong]. FH was _both_ system 11 and
WPC. (as far as sound is concerned)
