My laptops inbuilt blueetoth is not detected

i have an HP G4 2049tx notebook PC, despite installing all the drivers for my bluetooth, the inbuilt bllueetoth is not detected,
whenever i try to serach the bluetooth through my cell phone, it doesnt detect the bluetooth of my laptop,
one more thing , the bletooth provides me the option of turning it on and off, but doesnt work actually, please suggest me what should i do???

yeah i am sure, i do get a bluetooth option in the taskbar menu , but it is nt detected by any other device

have you checked to be sure it's ON in the BIOS? (if there's an option)
