I saw something similar but underwater. It was really neat, but a wall of silt, I guess, approached us and we got pinned into a small little area shielded by huge boulders. Dive was pretty boring since the area was too small, but I swam around the whole time nonetheless.
Trying to manuever in the "wall" was really hard. There was almost no visiblility and the temperature dropped enough, from 30C, to make you shiver. So we didn't. We had been on a huge incline free from any corral, basically like a desert, so heading out there was no fun anyways unless you could make it to the next clump of boulders and corral, which we couldn't with that wall there.
