I have a linksys cable/dsl router and have xp and sometimes use AOL with it. Everything worked fine until recently. I just built a new computer and I can hook up a direct connection from the cable modem to the computer and everything works fine. When I went to reattach the router I can connect to the internet but my aol connection cannot connect. Any help would be appreciated to resolve my problem. Thanks

I read somewhere that aol uses the network mac address for the computer to connect along with cable modem. THis could be totally wrong..But there is a feature in the config. Mac address cloning.Put the number of your orinigal NIC in there.

A shot, but hey..lets see if that works.
