Dual Machines

Greetings, I want to sync to two different machines. My quick question
is after I install the Palm Desktop software on the new machine, if I
perform a sync with my fully loaded Tungsten E, will it populate the
new computer with my information? Or do I have to copy the backup file
from my old computer and place it in the correct directory of the new
computer. Thanks for any help.

Yes, it definitely should. I tried this before and it worked. Just makes
sure that the device name (or 'user', was it maybe called that...) remains
consistent.

It should never be necessary to shift data that is already on your PDA.

The only issue with syncing to two PC's (I do this regularly, to two
different platforms, Mac and PC, no less!!) is that every time you sync on
the "other" machine, the Hotsync software will sense this and force a "slow
sync" operation, which takes longer than a normal sync.

Take care,

Steve

Caution: whenever synching a palm to a blank desktop program, be sure
that your settings do not reflect "desktop overwrites handheld."
Otherwise, you'll end up with zero data.
