Zalman 7000b alcu bending mobo

I just got a new zalman 7000b alcu and it seems to be bending the motherboard a little. Is this bad?

Should I loosen the screws so its not bending as much?

Most likely is buddy. Not now but you are putting strain on the bus paths and could eventually crack sometin.

You could string the HSF to the top of your case to relive some stress of the mobo. I normally do this with the zalman flower HSFs or one that I made up that was too damn heavy. Today HSF are getting to damn big which Im surprised that they havent includes such additional supports in their kits.

Oh wait you mean you HSF mounts are pulling the mobo to shape a U right? What happened to the back plate that should prevent this?

hte backplate is only for S939 though...

the backplate is there just isnt helping much

maybe ill just leave it. It is hard to tell it is bending and if it breaks. Then I guess its time for a better mobo becuase this one sucks.

how many screws and standoffs do you have on the motherboard? and how many are you using?

hehe, you know how those .06mm steel cases flex if you throw a pack of cigarettes on them? You can get similar cases in the same thickness made of aluminum now...imagine the support your motherboard gets!

lol my 7700 all copper weighs 918g and his weighs half that(445g)....


mine dont bend,
