Notebook Overheating??

Hey guys

I recently bought a HP DV7 4050, here are the specs:
640 GB Dual HD
17" Screen
i5 m 450 (2*2.4Ghz)

The problem is, I am using this laptop for everything, since I got rid of my old computer. So, I play games on it as well.
The laptop is overheating, I think. CPU temperatures are getting as high as 87C (both cores) and the ACPI (I think that's the GPU) is getting up to 85C. Hard discs are OK.
I am using my laptop on a wooden desk when I'm gaming and there is enough space for the airvents. I am also using an external keyboard and mouse, so I wouldn't be "heating" it up myself either.

I am running the games as they come installed, because that is the optimal settings and it runs pretty smoothly. I could easily raise the quality to HIGH or ULTRA, but I do not want to damage the notebook.
Where I come from, there are not a lot of PC or notebook components to buy, but I did find this and it looks pretty interesting:

Is it worth it, would it change anything? Or are these temperatures OK?

Please move this topic if this is in the wrong section.

It says I cant edit this topic (WTF???) so I'll just post a comment.
Idle the CPU is about 40-50C and while using internet or watching movies (not HD quality) about 55C.
