I've put a lot of research into this and gotten lots of good advice from around the forums. And today is the day I will finally order all of my components. That being said I'm looking for a couple last opinions on the build.

Non-negotiable:
Lian Li PC-60 $99
AMD 3200+ Venice $190
DFI LP UT nF4 SLI-DR $175

Negotiable:
Brand of 7800 gtx, currently looking at the evga, xfx oc, or bfg $530-540
OCZ Platinum 1x1024 2-3-2-5 $128
Needs an SLI capable power supply for 7800gtx, and I'm looking at either:
Enermax Whisper II 535W $90
Antec Truepower II 550W $115
HSF - Thermalright XP-90 or Zalman 7000B (92mm) or
Attempt to squeeze on an XP-120 or the 120mm Zalman version

I feel pretty solid with what I got here, the psu and hsf I think are the least decided at this point.

STFU to people who are going to say 2x512MB

1gb module rox yo!

Let me check the gfx forum, I don't remember seeing it but I'll give it a second look.

Only issue with the XP-120 is this:

Quote :

LANPARTY UT nF4 - The first of PCI-e slots will be blocked by the heat pipe loop and the over-hanging fins will be in the way of the memory modules if they have the heat spreader/sink installed.

All looks good just the way it is... all of Wusy's recomendations are good.

Go date P4man or something, bye!

I just found this thread with some pics from a guy who fitted the XP-120 on. Looks like a tight fit but seems like the ram will just clear it underneath the fins.

And like wusy said anyone have any ideas on the psu?

That thing is so rediculously large... I hope you do some very extreme OCing on this rig with that beast on it.

Go date P4man or something, bye!

lmao yes he is

be back in 30 mins so hopefully i'll know what psu when i get back, i'm leaning to the tp2. a cheap 535w scares me for sli, because of the risk for not pulling enough power for the cards
