Flash drive not seen

i have a pendrive does not show up in the explorer.
"the device installed successfully"
but where is the device??
i have 7 home basic

Open my computer Click on line below hdd drives.
it show all removable medias.

If its brand new you may need to format it first.

Right click on My Computer -> click on Manage -> Click on Disk Management

The drive should be located on the right hand side and may show up as unallocated space. Attempt to right click on it and choose format.

its showing"unknown device" in device manager under universal serial bus controller drop down.
and i could not find it under disk management too.
