intel or amd for redording studio

Thinking about going dual core in a while, i know stienberg nuendo is multi threaded and iwanna know if anyone knows whether amd or intel will get me more performance in my studio?

If you go AMD, stick with the Dual-Core A64s, otherwise get a Pentium
