PRINTER DOES'NT COMMUNICATE WITH COMPUTER

Hello,
Last week. A transformer near my home got struck by lightning. My modem and printer got surged. I got a new modem and that's fine. My printer though cannot communicate with the computer. I did all the reconnections with the wiring and restarted the computer, But to no avail. Any suggestions?

Try removing the printer from device manager and running the setup for it from scratch.

Printer could be dead also, at least as far as it's connections go. Can you print a test page from the printer?
