Wife's away for the evening...Time to hunker down with a beer (or two)
and spend my Friday (after a loooong work week) trying to kick LOTR's
butt.

I will maintain my misguided optimism until I have my butt handed back
to me...

....either way, what better way to spend a Friday night?

anyone want to take me on in a remote Friday night challenge? 3 ball
factory (special= extra ball) (extra ball at 19k)

I will one day.

Instead of a perfect evening like that, I am getting to spend it with
my Mom, my brother, his wife, and baby, my aunt and uncle, and who
knows who else. Would not be so bad except for the constant yelling
and questions about when me and my girlfriend were going to get married
and have babies. And the constant questions about when me and my
girlfriend were going to get married and have babies. (they ask over
and over)

Make the most of it! At least tell us which beer your having so I can
zone out and think about your evening in between the children screaming
during mine .... Not that I am bitter, lol.

.....I feel your pain brother, and enjoy your humor.

Chin up, marriage and kids will come, although never quick enough for
the "Grandparents in waiting" ;)

I'll play on for you while drinking a honey brown ale...

If you have a free night in the future post a challenge and I'll take
you on in a friendly joust.

Have a good weekend!

That is a great idea! I will accept your challenge. My game is factory
Free Play, 3-ball. No extra ball specials, no score threshold specials.
BUT- my outlanes are set to liberal (closed). Tilt is fairly tight (I
usually tilt before I recover the outlane drain). Will that make it
even?

If I tank my first game, I'm going to play three and post those scores.

"You have my AXE!"

Hopefully I won't get to post again for a while ;) Absolutely no
cheating. You have my word as a gentleman, and people here can vouch
for that. Good luck!

Anyone else with a Rings, play a couple and let us know how you do (and
how your game is set up)! I'll be back a little while with my scores...

Has this been done before on RGP? a remote challenge?

You sir are on!

My outlanes are factory "wide open"...

I guess my extra ball settings make up for it.

My tilt is pretty tightly set although I get two warnings...I dont
nudge as much as I should anyway.

After a bite to eat I will grab my ale and post my scores...

Gentleman's honor here as well...I am happy to lose an honest game.
Never happy to win a dishonest one, so you have my word as a
gentleman...although my wife may dispute the "gentleman" claim ;)

This will be fun...Good Luck!

see you in an hour or so!

Any other LOTR owners like in tonite?

Yikes! I'm done with the first game already! Choked on ball one with
398,000. Ball 2 was better, ending with 21,518,430. Choked again on
ball three, final score was 23,556,000. Drained with the Tower extra
ball and Fellowship multiball lit. DANG!! OK, two more games.

OK...

Game 2 = 27,868,730

Game 3 = 38,498,420

....all i ask for is improvement. I'll take the 38k as the start of a
trend ;)

My high score table is...
GC: 117,430,390
1: 115,544,510
2: 109,617,720
3: 99,715,990
4: 97,688,900

Here is my sorry disclaimer of the night....I've only owned the pin for
2 weeks. AND I've just now got it set correctly...ie: pitch, flippers,
posts etc...

I will break 50K before my next post....

Keep flippin'

This is fun!

ok final game 64,897,096.

Destroyed the ring again!

bittersweet though...how can you dtr and only get 64K?

That's whats great about pinball...everything in order increases the
score.

good night all...thanks for the challenge!

I would challenge ya but I got mine setup ppretty tough. No Replay or
special = Extra Ball stuff here, wide open outlanes and a slightly tight
tilt setup. I had my best game with this setup last night about 148,000,000
3 elf gifts didn't defeat any multiballs though. I was close on all three
but not quite there. Destroyed the ring once then drained my 3rd ball on
the last shot at the second DTR. I am getting better though. Someday I may
see Valinor :) Enjoy your evening with LotR and a few cold ones.
