Help, I transfered the guts of the MM to a new BTC case. Everything
worked fine after the transfer. Last week, the Secondary Flasher fuse
blew. I changed it, everything was fine. My daughter was playing
today, and the flippers stopped working. The flipper fuses look fine.
I made sure the connectors were tight, but when I run the test for the
flippers, nothing. Any suggestions?

An added fact, the flipper buttons can still cause the display to
scroll through the high scores, williams message, etc, so I know they
work. The coils themselves don't power up.

Check for blown fuse for flippers. LTG

Coin door has two switches, one for the alert you see, and one for high
power. If other solenoids are working, your high power switch is too. LTG

Do you have a manual?
The Trolls are on the same board as the flippers.
In test mode do the trolls work?
All of the other coils are working?
You could try reseating the connetors and the ribbon cable on the
flipper board.
Did you pull the fuses to check them or check the installed?

I just pulled all of the fuses and they all check out OK on my meter.
The trolls pop up on the test, but on th "hold" nothing happens. Is
this part of the problem?

I doubt it. Go into switch edge test, and check both flipper button opto
boards. LTG

Well now you'll have to dig a little deeper.
Power to the fliptronics board ? Power to the flipper coils ?
This may take some time, but power stops somewhere. From transformer, to
boards, to coils. You have a break. LTG

I cleaned off all of the fuse contacts and put them back in - The
flippers worked.
Played 5 or six games - no problem, in the heat of the 7th game with the
trolls up, multi ball, etc, the flippers started to die, ie, when I
tried to hold them, they would jiggle and not hold. Both flippers did
the same, and when I tried to use them, they were very sluggish.
What should I try next, or is this a different problem (did not see this
problem with the 100 or so games I played prior to moving everything
over to the new cabinet)

Hey Mike,
You could try my driver board as a test to narrow it down to either the
board or the "other stuff"

Mark, I appreciate the offer.
Really strange. I was just checking again (the game was off the last
1/2 hour).
When I hold one flipper, it pulses and will not hold up. If I hold both
flippers at the same time, they hold with no problem. As soon as I let
go of one flipper the other starts to pulse and will not hold. If I
then hold the both again, they hold with no problem.
Strange wouldn't you say.
Unfortunately I probably not have time to try your board for a couple of
weeks, work comes before play, but did want to leave the game up and
running for the kids, and was hoping this would be an easy fix.

OK, just let me know if you want to try that if you can't get it
resolved. In the meantime, go over all the playfield wiring carefully.
Something could be a problem there I suppose.

Fuse contacts might be worn and not holding tension, or need the solder
holding them to the board to be reflowed. LTG
