I have the hp 2509m and I love it. It has a 3ms response time, is big, vibrant, and has a glossy finish with a sexy black 1 inch boarder that makes your image only, take precedence. For example, when watching a movie there will be nothing between you and the movie. If the sides were silver they would be completely visible and it would look like a framed movie. This helps a lot when i play Counter Strike source because i am more immersed in the game. the colors are good. I find LED monitors have a bit more pop, but the price is real good for this monitor and its native 1920x1080 is easier to render for my mid ranged video card than say a huge res. It comes with a dvi, Hdmi, and vga port, but i wish i had 2 hdmi ports for when i run it as a tv from time to time. The speakers sound good but do not get loud enough for anything further than 5 feet away, unless your source file is very loud. People complain about glare but the trick is to just position bright lights behind the screen or point them at the ceiling or away from the screen, just try to light the screen indirectly. when set up properly, a glossy is a thing of beauty that a matte screen could never know. don't get me wrong, the quality of the monitor is more important than the finish. but the finsh as a huge effect on the experience of the whole thing.
