I can't get windows explorer to work. It isn't showing in my start menu and if I search it, it comes up with the program but it has a message that says "this file does not have a program associated with it to perform this action, or, if one is installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel". Well, I've tried everything, please help!!

this isnt the full fix but it will do what you want
control pannel---folder options--file extension .exe it will ask if you want to create a new association
the answer is yes.....does this happen for most apps

did you get a virus and remove it via the reg ??
