Sorry for the out of forum post, but I need some advice quick and I didn't get any feedback in the notebook forum over the last 5 days.

K so I need to know if this is a good notebook or not:

Acer Aspire AS3003WLCI-H / AMD-M Sempron 3000+ / 512MB / 80GB / DVD-CDRW/ 15.4" WXGA TFT / 56K / 802.11g WLAN / LAN / XP Home

Also my friend is looking at some dells, is acer a really crapy notebook company? Is this dell a better buy for the same price:

Dell Inspiron 6000c / IntelĀ® CeleronĀ® M Processor 360 / 512MB / 60GB / DVD-CDRW/ 15.4" WXGA TFT / 56K / 802.11g WLAN / LAN / XP Home

Thanks for the feedback, hopefully I can get some help quick. Thanks again,

Nate

Pick the Acer for performance, the Dell for battery life.

If you are a "very-mobile user", which means for me that you will use your laptop anywhere on a daily basis, pick the one that will gives you the longest battery life and that is the lighest (probably the Dell).

But, if you are a "casual-mobile user", which means that you move your laptop from home to office only, or keep if with during some week-end, get the cheapest.

If you want to do some entertainment (gaming, video playback, etc...) get the one with the highest performance and the best GPU (probably the Acer).

And so on...
