I got pissed off at the setting in my PC one fine day so i nunutsly thought, in my anger that if i just reinstall Windows XP as an upgade it will make all of my problems go away. this was not so, i stopped the upgrade install. Now nothing is wrong with my PC its just that when i boot it asks what O/S i want WIN XP (the one i had BE4) or WIN XP SETUP (TAKES ME TO A WINDOWS XP INSTALL) how do i get rid of the second choice the install one any help would help thanks

System Properties > Advanced tab > Startup and Recovery Settings > Edit the startup options file manually

Remove that other line, probably the second one below [operating systems].

I hope that help...

People are actually trying to find the answer instead of creating a new post for the same question over and over.
This is a good thing

To answer the question goto start|run|msconfig|boot.ini \check all boot paths
It should tell you that one is wrong say ok
If not highlight the one that you know is wrong and delete it.
