Pinball Inquiry - If you could own one ProtoType Pinball M..

All,

After many years of collecting, this question has always intrigued me.

If you could only own one prototype machine to be the "gem" of your
collection, which one would you own?

This does not exclude games that actually made it into production.

If you own one, and care to disclose why you got it, by chance, industry
contacts, or other collectors feel free to discuss.

There are obvious one liner answers, but insight in why you would have (or
have) a particular game would be interesting.

For me, it would be:

1) KK
2) BBB
3) KingPin (I always like the "sudden death" mode)
4) LNM (I always enjoyed this BG!)

King Kong for me would be the obvious choice for me because of my affinity
with movie licensed themes in my collection.

I would have the perfect topper for it too!
Any of the five owners I know want to sell? :)

Best Regards,

I'd say KingPin. played it at PAGG show a couple years ago and it was a
blast. Thing is with all the above games they typically have tons of SW
bugs or incomplete code so owning them is more of a status symbol
rather than having a solid playing pin isn't it?

Pinball circus for me, cuz that game looks so unique and looks like a
blast to play. Better be at the expo. >:)

Kingpin BBB or Pinball Circus all are desirable from different
viewpoints. Kingpin for gameplay, BBB for music and looks/toys used on
pf, Pinball Circus well take a look at ipdb and you'll see :)

I would not want to own ANY prototype pinball machine.

I prefer completed, working production games.

No unplayable, or unfinished games for me. Bleh.

As they say, "A day late and a dollar short".
But, given time, a bit of luck, and a few emails and phone calls, nothing is
impossible.
Weirder things have happened to me in this hobby.

Funny, but my proto SC, TAF, Whitewater, Slugfest, WCS94, and Road Show all
play just like production games. So does the sample CV. The sample TZ
doesn't play like a normal production game...it plays *better*. :p

Yes, I did wonder what happened to that. The machine would have been
so heavy, but size for size some of those video's are larger (foot
print).

Even a standard body machine done to the theme "Total Recall" would
have been nice to see.

That would be a tough one, since it never made it to prototype.
