I am upgrading my macbook pro from a 250 gb hd to the biggest one possible. It only had 2gigs of memory and I upgraded to 4gigs, ddr for now. Which hd shld I buy? and can the motherboard handle 500gigs or more?
Any SATA 2.5" laptop drive will work, but it must be the 9.5 mm variety. Right now, the biggest 9.5 mm drive is the Western Digital Blue 750GB which is a 5400rpm drive. If you want extra speed, the Samsung Spinpoint MP4 640GB drive works for Macs and is a 7200rpm drive.
