First, I can mention that I have casually looked thru some of the
threads here without finding what I want.
There´s probably a thread deep down there that contains answers to my question
but as I am a lazy fart and very ignorant I chose to not look it up.
If you feel that I am a jerk/ignorant bastard for doing such an 'evil' thing then
drop a 'mad smiley' or something, otherwise feel free to give me a
detailed 3 page answer
Here goes...
I chose to install XP from Win98 with the option to replace Win98.
So far so good, I come to the point where the installer restarts the computer
and then starts to read/write files to my HD.
After a few seconds here, the screen goes black and the HD light flashes with low
intensity every 2 seconds or so...this keeps going until I get pissed off (approximately
1 second that is , well it´s more like a couple of minutes) and restart the computer.
I have managed to install XP in this way earlier when I had a Geforce2 card
and only one HD, might this be a compability issue with my new hardware, a
Geforce4 and a WD HD?
Do you have any tips&tricks?
