Monitor died need help with new one,first time buying

hello
trying to find a good priced monitor use for gaming and movies.

i use win 7 x64,6gb ram ddr3(1333),i-3 540 (2.93)upgrade that in next few months

have a XFX 6850 Black Edition 1Gb 256-bit card.

was using acer p215h,was nice for my first hd monitor,just stopped getting power,after alittle over a year.

a bit confused on whats good,other monitor was a gift,never bought one on my own.but back to a ctr monitor

23' seems good size,didn't seem much different then 24'...mostly movies,gaming starcraft 2,diablo,some fps like fear,and mass effect type games.

did see a :

Acer G235HAbd 23'' on newegg 109.99...

Samsung S23A300B ,priced on newegg but out of stock 149.99,did find at a local store for same price 149.99.
