I have been successfully printing from my laptop (Windows 7) to a Lexmark Z2390 printer. I then had to replace the print cartridge and now it won't print. I have uninstalled and then reinstalled the printer software. I can print a test page if I hold down the printer on/off button for 5 seconds or more. If I request a test page from the laptop it goes through the motions e.g. the pop-up screen comes up to imply the document is being sent to the printer, but nothing comes off.
Oh The Wooos of Lexmark, And there problems, Have you tried the lexmark support center HUMMM, how old is the printer, if still under warranty you may need to take it back to either get it fixed, Exchanged, Good luck, Let us know how you go
