Which one is more cost efficient for gaming?? Dual core or single core processors?? Dual core version has kinda not-so-fast speed, around 3 to 3.2Ghz, and single core has reached up to at least 3.6Ghz or 3.8Ghz, something like that (not too sure)..... so which one is better?? pls help. Thanx.

For gaming, the single core is much better. Not only is it faster, but no games "really" support multi-threading. There have also been a number of issues reported by people trying to game on dual core setups.
Why are you looking at Intel? They currently are slower for gaming, run too hot, are less smooth in game, and are less stable than an equally priced A64.

Gaming go with single core. AMD is the way to go for gaming. Are you doing a system upgrade?

I third the recommendation for single core and AMD. Go look at some good reviews and you'll see that AMD dominates the gaming sector in performance.

I would go for single core Amd. But Intel not too far off behind for gaming.

See Right now dual core is like going from 16 bit to 32 bit in the 1980s. IT like right now Most chips are 64 bit but Not many programs support it.

I m waiting for about 2 years before I upgrade.

I wouldnt say Intel was close unless you dont consider the need for cooling outside of the stock solution and the extra power consumption to be a problem.
