Dell U2312 vs U2412

Lately I've been thinking about buying either the Dell U2312 or the U2412 but I can't seem to decide which one to get. I'm currently a university student and will be using it for coding, and possibly photo and video editing. I also do some moderate gaming. Although not at the same time, I plan to eventually buy 3 throughout the course of this year.

My question is, is the size difference significant enough to justify the price difference ? Is there anyone that owns both that could give me some insight into this?
