Heh-heh. I know that if I sat NEXT TO MY BOSS and in front of other coworkers, and had run into as many unsafe links as have been bitched about lately, I would either A) stop clicking links on here at work, especially when on the phone with customers, or B) ask if it's worksafe before clicking.

Radical ideas, I know, but A works real well for me.

If I had to speak my mind, it'd be that the very foundation we had a long time ago, about making sure people enjoy links and are able to know what's generally enjoyed by many and what can be construed as offensive to others or could cause trouble to them, is being destroyed. I simply do not grasp why and if I were the moderator, I'd have warned each one of you that did that.

I wonder what RC thinks of all this. His remark once about wanting to come here to relax and laugh, than to spend time arguing and being bothered by harsh remarks or debates that spawn quarrels, applies to links as well.

I'm with you on this one mate. Usually you can tell by the thread title whether or not it's work safe, or if it's an OK link to follow. I mean, it's hardly rocket science to hover the cursor over the link and see where it's leading. Like that one for Rotten (which I enjoyed BTW), then you know whether it's safe to view from your current place. I also think you're sensible by keeping all your links in your "official thread".

On the whole, most of the stuff posted in the Other is gonna be of dubious content, I mean, look where we are for gawd's sake. Down in the basement. Simple rule of thumb people, if you ain't sure, then DON'T CLICK ON IT!

Just a thought...I look at Tom's at home some of you do it at work...you do not get paid to be on the internet, so you can't really say anything about Pee Eff's links....I personally like the crazy links he posts. Not an attack on you...

I check THGC mostly at home. If I do in class, I usually don't click anything and do check the source before I do. But that's besides the point.

Ede, all I was trying to do was lighten the mood somewhat, this place has been getting bent out of shape recently, and for it all to kick off over a few links seemed a tad OTT. Hell, some of them have given me the big "access denied" banner at work on the odd occasion I've clicked, but on the whole, I save it until I'm at home.
