laptops, a basic internet models

I'm a satisfied, well basically satisfied with Dell the past few years but
when I wanted a new desktop,I put my own together and saved some money. I
am now wanted to upgrade from an older gatewar laptop, really slow about 5
years old. I think it is something like a 400mhtz, only 192mb memory or
close to that.... If you were updating to a laptop that would really only be
used for internet with possible wireless or a wireless pc card, no extremely
graphics or sound, just the integrated, which dell model would you go with.
DO you have any experience with your own models and are you satisfied with
it enough to recommend it to someone else.
