Freeze installing Intel LAN Driver V17.3.0.0

Although it worked the first time, I hit a glitch and had to reinstall Win 7 on a new build. Now, every time I try to install Intel LAN Driver V17.3.0.0 it freezes when it starts. I've formatted and reinstalled a couple times but no luck. I got the NVM Update Utility for Intel 82579V and ran it from an admin prompt, but it says it isn't needed. So I'm at a loss. Wanted to see if anyone had any suggestions before I haul it into a shop.
