Would Getting an LED TV Make a Difference?

I am thinking about getting a new monitor/ LED TV. Would getting a 24" LED TV be better or worse than getting a 24" monitor when they are both at the same resolution, which will be at 1920x1080. My computer will be connected to the monitor and so will an Xbox 360.

Generally speaking, LED is preferable to LCD. The performance of monitors with the same specs will differ depending on the manufacturer. Similar to automobiles and their individual differences.

However, the one you linked is an "edge lit" monitor. The current trend is towards "back lit" monitors (and TVs). Please consider this and other aspects in your research.
