I'm using Windows2000 professional. Few weeks back I was using WindowsME with my ATX power supply.It turned off automatically when I shutting down the Windows. But with Windows 2000 it is not turened off automatically. Can I fix this.....?

You can try to enable APM in power opions.

This used to happen to me on an old win2K machine. Had something to do with a video driver, or video card conflict.

make sure you have apm enabled in the bios, and then (sob) you're gonna have to reinstall. I had the same problem, and according to an article I found in ms knowledge base, you then reinstall since there is no way for the system to reset.

This is incorrect. All you need to do to fix the problem of the system powering down is checking that option...no need to reinstall Windows. I installed Win2K on a P2 300MHz system (it's like 5 years old), and checking that one box is all it took to make it power down completely. :wink:

FYI: I believe this thread's dead, as well as the other one you posted at that was 6 months old. Kidding aside, welcome to the forums! :smile:
