If you are using Windows 7, I had one older printer that one of my Windows 7 computers treated it as "Offline" and it would never print on that computer. But it would print from the other WIndows 7, a laptop, with no difficulty. I never found the answer. When you view the printer from your laptop does it state whether it is offline or online. If offline then explore that problem.
