Windows 7 start up problem

Hello,
I am having a problem with my computer,each time I turn the system on it says "reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media" I then F12 and change the boot device to the hard drive and it starts, but then every time I restart the computer I have to go through the same process. How do I fix this?

In BIOS, be sure the hard drive with the Win 7 installation is selected as the first boot device.

Read the motherboard or system manual BIOS setup section. Enter BIOS>first boot device.
