the first unveiled posted concerning the direclty SPEC CFP2000 performance comparison between the Pentium 4 and Athlon Thunderbird runs with DDR SDRAM

I still have doubts about the P4 result, I've always been hearing, from around Anandtech or amdzone(i think maybe over at zdnet), that the p4 at 1.5Ghz RDRAM, was only seeing a 20% improvements over a PIII at 1Ghz. which only come in at PIII 1.3ghz. so I don't know, i guess we'll just have to wait and see.

.... Except for Q3, P4 1.4 Ghz performs about like Athlon 950Mhz, P4 1.5Ghz like AR 1.05Ghz.

.... Anand claims P4 1.3Ghz (AR 850Mhz) coming Q1 '01.

.... Strange goings on here.
