Duron 200 fsb and 266 ddr

I went ahead and preordered a giga-byte ddr board, a new duron, and cooling supplies. Next up is to order soem ddr ram from crucial.

My question is: if I get the 266mhz ram, will it work with the current durons' 200mhz fsb?

I'm assuming it would work, like a 100mhz fsb cpu w/ pc133 ram, but I'm not sure. Getting the 266mhz ram would be nicer than the 200mhz for future upgrade options.

Thanks for any help!

it should work fine, but if I remember correctly, the memory and bus system runs synchroniously(heh, is that a word?)so you'd have to run 200mhz fsb with 200mhz memory speed.
if you do the fix to alter the multiplier, you should be able to run the processor within specs on the 266DDR mobo and have the full processor speed at a lower multiplier and 266fsb.
that is if you are against overclocking it... if not, you may just be able to bump up the processor...
