Take off Caps Lock first and foremost. Are you sure the notebook has no DVD player? Check on the sides for a small eject button. You bought Windows 7 and do not have a DVD player...but you want to download it? Buy an external DVD player and use it through the USB connector if you have the Windows 7 disk.

Plugs in to USB.

"Small notebook" might equal netbook...

Anyhow, as badge said, if you didn't buy a downloadable version from MSDN or Technet, you will need to plug in an external DVD to install from the disk.

Out of curiosity, where did you buy Windows from? Didn't your computer come with a pre-installed version?

Yea those "small notebooks" do not have dvd players. You can probably pick up an external dvdrom for pretty cheap.
