Black Screen -HELP PLZZZZ .

I dropped my laptop off the arm of the couch . picked it up it worked fine for 15 minutes or so then the screen went black .I could stil see the dim items on the screen Ok so i assumed it was the screen only because if i hook it to a different monitor everythings fine. I ordered a new lcd screen 170.00 for overnight . install the new screen same thing, dim black screen. Called the company i purchased the screen from and he said it must be your inverter. So i order a 90.00 inverter. Installed that and OMG still black screen . Does anyone have any idea what the issue could be ? Running out of patients and money ....
